Benromach Cask Strength Vintage 2012 Batch 3 Single Malt Whisky
This release is Batch #3 from the 2012 Cask Strength series from Benromach.
It was matured for 10 years in a classic combo of bourbon and first-fill sherry casks before being bottled in 2022 at cask strength.
Nose: Slightly dirty notes, sherry, sweetish, only marginal smoke. Mouth-filling, oak, maritime. Citrus, even more smoke than before, rather fresh.
Taste: Mountain pine, rosemary, smoke, citrus, very intense and spicy, also some smoke.
Finish: Citrus, spicy, sherry, smoke, herbal notes.
