Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 8 Single Malt Whisky
Part of the Tun 1509 Series from Balvenie, this is Batch 8.
To create Batch No.8 of The Balvenie Tun 1509, David C. Stewart MBE carefully hand-selected rare and precious casks (refill Sherry butts, ex-bourbon barrels) from the distillery’s precious aged whiskies. All were transferred to Tun 1509, which sits in Warehouse 24, for several months before bottling.
   Nose:   Aromas of baked citrus tarts entwine with notes of orange marmalade and maple syrup.
   Taste:   Layers of rich toffee, lashings of buttery vanilla and a swirl of house honey flow over the palate to create an unmistakable texture and form the perfect sip.
   Finish:   The initial sweetness from expertly toasted oak dispels to reveal a candied ginger and spice finish.
