Bunnahabhain 14 Year Old Ruby Port Cask Finish Fèis Ìle 2024
Bunnahabhain has created two Limited Edition Single Malts to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2024 Islay Festival: a14 Year Old Ruby Port Cask Finish and a 23 Year Old Triple Sherry Wood Finish.
This is the 14 Year Old release, first matured in 2009 in ex-bourbon casks, before being finished in ruby port hogsheads for three years and bottled in 2024 at cask strength.
Nose: The initial burst of dark chocolate fades to reveal toasted oak, cherries, plums and raspberries, with a hint of caramelised walnuts.
Taste: Spicy yet sweet, with cinnamon and nutmeg intertwined with pain au chocolat, redcurrants, pomegranate and sweet malt.
Finish: Lingering finish with cocoa and spice.
