Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch A124 was distilled and matured for 10 years and 9 months at Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. It was bottled at barrel proof and released in January 2024.
2024 is the twelfth year for the brand’s popular cask-strength line.
Each batch of Barrel Proof contains an uncut selection of 12 Year Old Bourbon bottled straight from the barrel. As a result, each batch varies by proof. The batch number on the label provides specific information about each batch. The first letter indicates the order of the release for that year, starting with “A.” The first number represents the month of the release. The third and fourth digits indicate the year.

    Nose:    Sweet, caramel, apple, stewed fruit, cinnamon and charred oak.

    Taste:    Brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon and baking spices.

    Finish:   Long, cinnamon, brown sugar, tobacco and leather.
