Glenmorangie Companta Private Edition Single Malt Whisky
Part of Glenmorangie’s Private Edition range, Glenmorangie Companta is the fifth special release. The name ‘Companta’ means ‘friendship’ in Gaelic. It’s a marriage of whiskies finished in Clos de Tart Grand Cru wine casks and sweet fortified wine casks from Côtes du Rhône.
   Nose:   Clear malt aromas, red wine and raspberries, red currants, chestnuts, leather, marzipan.
   Taste:   Fruitcake with red berries, currant spritzer made from syrup, creamy mouthfeel that culminates in a tannic, vinous dryness.
   Finish:   The red berries give way to a dry, slightly bitter note that lasts surprisingly long.
