Glenmorangie Ealanta is a highly sought-after and award-winning single malt Scotch whisky. This limited edition release is part of Glenmorangie’s Private Edition range, and was named World Whisky of the Year in 2014 by Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. Ealanta, which means “skilled and ingenious” in Gaelic, is a fitting name for a whisky that was aged in heavily charred virgin American white oak casks, giving it a rich and complex flavor profile.
Bottled at 46% ABV, Glenmorangie Ealanta has a nose of vanilla and toffee, with notes of oak, pepper, and nutmeg. On the palate, it is creamy and smooth, with flavors of tropical fruits, honey, and butterscotch. The finish is long and warming, with a hint of smoke and spice.

   Nose:   Very fruity: orange, peach, apricot, apple, also tropical fruits such as kiwi, pineapple), also citrus scent and vanilla. Oak notes come through clearly.
   Taste:   Spices (cinnamon, ginger), vanilla, candied orange, sugar sweetener, marzipan, almonds. The white oak is easily recognizable – but pleasantly not intrusive.
   Finish:   Medium-long, vanilla, oak.
