Description
Jack Daniel’s Rested Tennessee Rye Batch 002 Straight Rye Whiskey
In 2012, for the first time in over 100 years the Jack Daniel Distillery had used a new grain recipe and as a result they launched the Tennessee Rye Series. Batch 001 was Unaged released in 2012, followed by Batch 002, Rested released in 2014.
This is Rested Tennessee Rye Whiskey, that had been maturing in the barrelhouses for over 2 years and was considered a sample in the aging process.
Nose:   Sweetened cottage cheese in blintzes, pipe tobacco, the smell of an old-timey candy store.
Taste:   Cherry cordial, without being overly sweet though.
   Finish:  Medium length.
