Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal is the third in a series of special releases created by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Jim Beveridge using irreplaceable whiskies from “ghost” Scotch whisky distilleries that have long since closed together with other rare malt and grain whiskies. A limited release of Johnnie Walker’s most premium brand, Glenury Royal draws on rare casks from the legendary Highland “ghost” distillery of Glenury Royal, a hidden treasure of the whisky world, which closed its doors in 1985.
   Nose:   The sumptuous orchard fruits, sweet apple and delicate apricot notes from Glenury Royal are beautifully heightened by creamy toffee and butterscotch from Cambus and Cameronbridge.
   Taste:   Other rare whiskies from Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie, Pittyvaich and Glenkinchie bring waves of vanilla, heather honey and dried fruits.
   Finish:   Smooth dark chocolate and nutty layers.
