Macallan 12 Year Old Fine Oak pre-2008 Single Malt Whisky
The Fine Oak series from Macallan was launched in 2004 and featured “triple matured” expressions, vatted from a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak, and bourbon casks.
The range was rebranded as the Triple Cask in 2018 in order to bring it into line with the distillery’s new core range, where it is currently joined by Sherry Oak Cask and Double Cask age-statements.
The whisky was matured in a unique combination of bourbon and sherry oak casks.
   Nose:   Complex, with hints of fruit, vanilla and cut grass.
   Taste:   Medium, balanced with fruit, oak and spice.
   Finish:   Long, with dried fruits, oak and spice.
Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
