Macallan Litha Single Malt Whisky
The Macallan Litha was released in 2023 for the Chinese market. Litha means light and it was the name that the Celts gave to the summer solstice. An incomparable whisky exclusively matured in first fill sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. This rare Macallan Litha represents the coming together of two worlds, Scotland and Spain to create an incomparable Single Malt Whisky.
The Macallan Litha is encased in a colourful presentation box, featuring an illustration by award-winning US-based Chinese illustrator Sija Hong. This artwork represents two worlds coming together: Scotland (depicted on the right-hand side in the blue pantones) and Spain (represented on the left-hand side in the red pantones).
   Nose:   Butterscotch, vanilla and chocolate with citrus and tropical fruits.
   Taste:   Vanilla ice cream topped with a berry compote, toasted oak, warming wood spice with salted caramel and pecans.
   Finish:   Medium with fruits, vanilla and oak.
