Macallan SMWS 14 Year Old Rare Release – Spirit of Speyside 2023
‘Massive Oak Extraction’
This release from Scotch Malt Whisky Society was bottled in celebration of the ‘Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2023’. It was distilled at Macallan distillery in 2008, matured for 14 years in first fill and refill Spanish and American oak butts and hogsheads.
One of only 2,554 bottles.
   Nose:   Sugar sweet and a fruity jam. Freshness of a light sea breeze. Grain and hay.
   Taste:   Light smoky peat in a medium body and very chewy straight away. Brown Sugar sweet and malty – yeasty. Light pepper and some oak.
   Finish:   Medium finish, dry oak, chewy and barley.
