Part of the Special Releases from Diageo, this is the 2022 bottling Talisker 11 Year Old ‘The Lustrous Creature of the Depths’. The label features a luminescent jellyfish, bringing some light to the dark depths of the ocean. It has been matured for 11 years in first fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength. Deliciously sweet and fruit-forward, with classic layers of pepper and coastal bonfire.
   Nose:   Vanilla, caramel, salt, sweetness, gentle smoke aromas.
   Taste:   Oily, buttery, voluminous, light (citrus) fruits (lemons, peaches), maritime, pepper, chili.
   Finish:   Quite long, intense, buttery, peppery, salty, ashy, smoky.
