An interesting Darkness independent bottling of Sherried rye whiskey. This is a 5 Year Old rye from Tennessee, which has been given a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry octave casks.
Nose: Lemon sherbet sweeties, chocolate, red chilli flake and a good crackle of peppery oak.
Taste: Creamy vanilla, mint chocolate, slightly buttery at points, with baking spices and cedar building.
Finish: Earthy caraway and peppercorn, with hints of Cadbury Fruit & Nut.
