Loch Lomond 10 Year Old Fruit & Vanilla Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Loch Lomond Fruit & Vanilla is a combination of whiskies, that were distilled in unique neck pot stills and classic pot stills. Then the two different new makes were filled into three different cask types under the supervision of Master Blender Michael Henry: bourbon, re-charred and refilled American oak hogsheads. After ten years of maturation, a fruity and aromatic Malt was created.

    Nose:    Malty, doughy, slightly sour and stale, maybe even some smoke. Also vanilla, fresh citrus, barley sugar, ginger and fennel.

    Taste:    Vanilla, dough, sugary sweetness, citrus, sour apple ginger and a light char note at the back.

    Finish:    Short to medium in length, slight vanilla, then pretty much only bitters and savory notes remain. Dough, a minor staleness, charred wood, ‘green’ bitter oak spices.
